AppLovin reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $2.185 billion, up 55% from $1.405 billion a year earlier, alongside a sharp increase in profitability and an enlarged share repurchase authorization, according to the company's earnings release carried by Investing News Network and a filing summary from StockTitan. Shares rose more than 20% in post-market trading after the release, according to TradingKey.

AppLovin's Q3 2026 revenue, net income, and Adjusted EBITDA each posted sharp year-over-year gains, per the company's earnings release reported by Investing News Network.

Net income climbed 72% year-over-year to $1.439 billion, compared with $836 million in the same quarter last year, per the company's release as reported by Investing News Network and corroborated by ad-hoc-news.de. Adjusted EBITDA rose to $1.842 billion from $1.158 billion, according to the same release, which also reported an 84% Adjusted EBITDA margin and a 66% net income margin for the quarter.

What Drove the 55% Growth

According to AppLovin's own disclosure as reflected in the StockTitan filing summary, the revenue increase of $779.8 million was due primarily to improved performance of the company's advertising platform, AppLovin Ads, rather than to a new line of business. Net revenue per installation rose 55% year-over-year, while the volume of installations increased only 2%, the filing states. TradingKey attributed the gain to improved ad monetization efficiency and described the company's core product, Axon, as an AI- and machine-learning-driven system used to optimize ad matching and delivery, which TradingKey said has improved ad conversion efficiency.

AppLovin's release, as cited by StockTitan, also noted that the company intends to use its investments to expand into verticals outside of gaming, such as e-commerce and connected TV (CTV). TradingKey similarly reported that AppLovin is broadening its advertiser base into non-gaming sectors to reduce reliance on mobile gaming advertising, but cautioned that the revenue contribution from these newer verticals has not yet been separately disclosed or verified in reporting. In other words, the 55% acceleration this quarter is attributed to monetization gains within the existing advertising platform, not to a demonstrated new-vertical contribution.

Buyback Authorization Expands to $3.6 Billion

Per the StockTitan filing summary, AppLovin's board of directors authorized an increase to the share repurchase program of approximately $3.2 billion in October 2026, bringing the total amount available for repurchases to $3.6 billion. As of September 30, 2026, only $394.3 million had remained available under the prior program, the filing states.

Based on those two figures ($3.6 billion in total authorized capacity versus $394.3 million remaining before the increase), the expansion represents roughly a ninefold increase in remaining buyback capacity ($3,600 million ÷ $394.3 million ≈ 9.1x), a calculation derived from the disclosed figures rather than a company-stated multiple. AppLovin had 331 million shares of Class A and Class B common stock outstanding at the end of the third quarter, according to both the company's release and the StockTitan summary.

Market Reaction and Guidance

TradingKey reported that AppLovin shares jumped more than 20% in post-market trading following the release, and were up 15.92% to $315 in pre-market trading on November 5. A post from the account Markets Today on X described the move as feeling "like watching a startup finally hit that elusive product-market fit" — social-media commentary rather than a measure of company performance.

TradingKey also reported that AppLovin issued fourth-quarter revenue guidance of $2.365 billion to $2.395 billion, which the outlet said was higher than Wall Street expectations of approximately $2.25 billion. Both the guidance range and the comparison with consensus estimates are as reported by TradingKey.

A Qualified Read on Sentiment

TradingKey's analysis suggested that continued strength in AI-driven advertising could push AppLovin shares toward $400. That figure is the outlet's own projection tied to the AI-advertising narrative, not a target confirmed by AppLovin or by a broader analyst consensus, and it should not be read as a forecast of where shares will trade.

Bottom Line

AppLovin's third quarter showed outsized year-over-year growth in both revenue (55%) and net income (72%), driven primarily by better monetization of its existing advertising platform rather than confirmed contributions from new verticals such as e-commerce or CTV. The board's move to lift repurchase capacity to $3.6 billion marks a substantial expansion from the $394.3 million previously available under the program. Shares moved sharply higher in the immediate aftermath, according to TradingKey, and fourth-quarter guidance was reported as exceeding prior Wall Street expectations — but readers should distinguish between AppLovin's reported results, third-party expectations attributed to outlets, and outlet-specific commentary on where shares might trade next.
