United Parcel Service (NYSE: UPS) reported third-quarter 2026 results that topped Wall Street estimates and prompted the package-delivery company to raise its full-year financial guidance, according to CNBC and a company SEC filing reported by Stock Titan. CNBC reported that the move marks the second guidance raise this year, after UPS already lifted its outlook in the prior quarter. The filing said consolidated revenue rose 6.7% to $22.9 billion, with growth across all segments.

Q3 results beat estimates

For the quarter ended September 30, UPS reported adjusted earnings per share of $1.69, ahead of the $1.63 analysts surveyed by LSEG had expected, on revenue of $22.9 billion versus a $22.29 billion estimate, CNBC reported. On a GAAP basis, net income came in at $1.16 billion, or $1.37 per share, down from $1.31 billion, or $1.55 per share, a year earlier, even as the adjusted profit figure beat forecasts.

Based on the figures cited by CNBC, UPS beat the consensus adjusted EPS estimate by $0.06 ($1.69 minus $1.63) and topped the revenue estimate by roughly $0.61 billion ($22.9 billion minus $22.29 billion), a calculation using the reported and expected figures.

Which segments drove the growth

Bar chart showing Q3 2026 revenue growth by segment: U.S. Domestic up 4.5%, International up 7.1%, Supply Chain Solutions up 18.2%, versus Q3 2025.
Q3 2026 segment revenue growth vs. Q3 2025, per UPS's SEC filing reported by Stock Titan.

According to the company's SEC filing, consolidated revenue rose 6.7% year over year to $22.9 billion, with growth recorded across all three reported segments:

  • U.S. Domestic: revenue increased 4.5%, which the filing attributed to a 6.1% rise in revenue per piece.
  • International: revenue increased 7.1%, driven by a 15.0% increase in revenue per piece.
  • Supply Chain Solutions: revenue increased 18.2%, which UPS said was primarily due to growth in forwarding and logistics, including healthcare.

The domestic result stands out against UPS's own prior outlook. CNBC reported that the company had previously said it expected third-quarter domestic revenue to be flat and domestic average daily volume to fall because of seasonal declines and the planned "glide down" in Amazon volume.

Raised full-year and fourth-quarter outlook

UPS now projects full-year 2026 consolidated revenue of approximately $92.6 billion, up from its previous expectation of $91.2 billion, according to CNBC and the company's SEC filing as reported by Stock Titan. The filing also showed raised full-year outlooks for non-GAAP adjusted operating profit of approximately $8.75 billion and non-GAAP adjusted diluted EPS of approximately $7.28. For the fourth quarter, UPS said it expects consolidated revenue of approximately $25.7 billion and non-GAAP adjusted operating profit of approximately $3.3 billion.

For the full year, the filing said UPS confirmed capital expenditures of approximately $3.0 billion, dividend payments of around $5.4 billion subject to board approval, an effective tax rate of approximately 23%, and $1.3 billion in pension contributions.

Chief Executive Carol Tomé said in a statement cited by CNBC and the filing that "as momentum builds, we are entering the holiday shipping season from a position of strength, with the most automated and efficient network in our history," pointing to premium growth and greater network efficiency.

Bottom line

Interpretation, tied to the figures above: the combination of a $0.06 adjusted EPS beat, 6.7% consolidated revenue growth and a raised revenue outlook to approximately $92.6 billion from $91.2 billion indicates management sees the quarter's pricing-led gains continuing into the holiday quarter, for which it guided to approximately $25.7 billion in revenue. The forward figures are company projections, not outcomes, and GAAP net income still declined year over year to $1.16 billion from $1.31 billion.
