Why is the 10-year Treasury yield rising again? Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs!
As I have mentioned, the 10-year Treasury yield of above 4% is kryptonite for the market. After declining last week from 4.30% to 4.18%, it’s back to 4.30%, for no good reason, other than “It is what it is.”
The economic data in the economy over the past week has been very favorable. The market can be cuckoo at times, and this is one of those times.
However, this is a buying opportunity in the highest quality stocks that have great earnings visibility.
It’s likely we are forming a double top for the 10-year bond, much like it did in December of last year before retreating back below 4%.
I would not be concerned with this move down. As I stated, this is another buying opportunity!
