Next week will be the most important week this year! Inflation continues to decline (from peak of 9% one year ago to 5/6% now), and corporate earnings are improving with MSFT, GOOG, AMZN, NFLX, META and other market leaders exceeding expectations this week.
NASDAQ tested 11,800 this week, bouncing off of it and forming a double bottom, which is very bullish going into next week with the Fed likely to increase interest rates and pause, giving the continuing downtrend in inflation and the weak (1.1%) Q1 GDP Report yesterday.
The Fed discussed a pause at the last FOMC meeting in Feb, but the weak GDP report yesterday makes it even more likely he will pause next week.
A pause is what the market wants to hear to allay recession fears, and it will take another big leg up, assuming the Fed pauses on Wednesday.
NOW is the time to get positioned for the next big leg up.
The market has shown incredible resilience with a bank scare and recession fears over the past few weeks and has come back strong! The market has been grinding higher, and a Fed pause will be the catalyst to facilitate the next move up.
