All eyes are on the Fed today. He will make his interest rate announcement at 2:00 PM ET, followed by a statement and Q&A.
While the Fed has a big impact on the market, owing to10 straight hikes in one year (5%), he is having less and less influence on the direction of the market, because he is nearly done if not already done.
Although it’s likely he will take a definitive pause and use cryptic language about what’s next, the market verdict has been rendered: 52-week highs.
The market is looking beyond the Fed to the biggest catalyst we’ve had since the Internet; that is, artificial intelligence, which will have as much or more impact on business, government, organizations, and society going forward.
Sure, there will still be perma-bears that are forecasting a recession, but the market always has the last word, and it has spoken!
Keep in mind, the move in markets for the first half of this year was the best since 2019. We are not going to revisit the lows in the market!
The train has left the station, now you have to chase it to get onboard.
