A split-screen composition showing two contrasting figures: a nervous retail investor hunched over a glowing screen with a downward-trending chart reflected in their worried expression, facing off against a confident CEO in a sharp suit leaning back triumphantly with an upward-trending graph behind them. The divide between the two sides is stark and dramatic, with cool blue fearful tones on the retail side and warm, golden confident tones on the CEO side. The visual tension between fear and conf

Hey, Ross here:

There’s a pretty wild disagreement showing up right now.

Individual investors have suddenly turned extremely bearish.

The people actually running America’s biggest companies?

They’re getting more confident.

Take a look:

Chart of the Day

The latest AAII survey shows 53.3% of individual investors are bearish.

Only 28.8% are bullish.

And look at how fast that changed.

Just one week earlier, bulls and bears were basically tied.

So retail sentiment didn’t gradually sour.

It fell off a cliff.

Now compare that with this:

The Business Roundtable CEO Economic Outlook Index just climbed to 94.

That’s a four-year high…

And the fifth straight quarterly increase.

So retail investors are suddenly extremely bearish…

While CEOs are the most confident they’ve been in four years.

Which group should we believe?

I wouldn’t blindly trust either one.

Retail sentiment can swing wildly from week to week.

And while CEOs obviously have a much closer view of the economy, they also have every incentive to stay optimistic about the businesses they’re running.

Surveys can tell us a lot.

But they’re still asking people what they think.

When I’m looking for a trade, I prefer something with a little more skin in the game.

Insight of the Day

Opinions are easy. Money is harder to fake.

Everybody has an opinion about the market.

Retail traders.

CEOs.

Analysts.

Economists.

And sometimes those opinions tell you something.

But there’s a big difference between saying you’re bullish…

And actually putting money behind that view.

Once real capital is involved, the incentives change.

You can change your answer on a sentiment survey next week.

You can give an upbeat interview and walk away.

But when somebody commits serious money to a trade, there’s a consequence if they’re wrong.

That’s why I pay much closer attention when I see real money behaving in an unusual way.

And there’s one underground signal I track that can expose exactly that kind of unusual activity.

Most individual traders never see it.

Yet it has pointed to setups that went on to move 287%… 542%… even 806% in a matter of weeks – sometimes days.

Later today at 11 a.m. Eastern, I’m going LIVE to show you how it works…

And explain why it’s one of my favorite strategies for smaller accounts.

So click here to guarantee your free seat if you haven’t already…

And I’ll see you in just a bit at 11 a.m. ET.
